Ofelia
Pagani was born in Castelnuovo, Lake Garda, Italy on the 25thFebruary
1963.
Her first drawings reflect the vastness and harmony of the Italian cultural landscape.
In 1984 Ofelia Pagani chose Düsseldorf, Germany as her new home.
Numerous study tours to the cultural and artistic centers of Europe followed.
Between 1997 and 2001 Ofelia Pagani spent nearly two years in Australia and New Zealand, living and exchanging ideas with Aborigines and thereby adding new dimensions to her understanding of nature.
This
inspiration has led to the creation of many works characterized by the
application of natural plant-dyes and earth pigments in the dot painting
technique.
